| the scene is TOO vague now. First of all, Mat has been in a hundred battles where he was trying to avoid confrontation, and with his skills, they all became legendary. Plus, Perrin also avoids confrontation but is often drawn into battles. e.g.when he and egwene are hiding from whitecloaks. white cloaks come up and perrin comes out beserk with his axe. Rand for a long time tried avoiding confrontation with Sammael in Illian. He's also tried avoiding confrontation with Lanfear, hence Moiraine stepped in, and avoided confrontation with any other woman as well. |

| magirl wolfbro said it was in TGS it was "legends" that gave it away (can't think of any other living people other than Caddy and the FS being thought of as legends, not even Rand). And subtle fits the scene perfectly... I'll be very surprised if I am wrong |

| read the passage. Caddy wanted everyone else to try before she herself confronted Semi. 'Cos she was afraid her image would be damaged if she lost that confrontation. But she was very subtle in the way she went about it. | ||
