| Brandon is 66% through his first draft of Memory of Light. What does everyone else think about if Brandon were to split the last book into 2 books and him releasing the first one much earlier? Or is it worth the wait for the full ending? Discuss... |

@JD- true, I see Stormlight will be a very long wait indeed. I don't think he's even started the next one yet...  @demo- aww... whenever a message is removed, I get strangely curious @original post- I also agree. I don't want it to end, but I also don't want to have to wait. The only solution to this would be to release a book every week that has drag the plot in weird directions to keep reader interested. Oh, wait. That's called a TV series... nvm.  |

They should just launch a whole new channel dedicated to Robert Jordan's works. WOT, the American Civil War, The American Indians, Conan, etc. Plus they could start a series based on some of Robert Jordan's notes about the new book series he was planning.  They could even show reruns of Game of Thrones and other Fantasy series like The Sword of Truth. |

| oh its sooo great actually. they did a tremendous job with it. its almost exactly like the book. one or two omissions. but amazing movie and even better book. =) I actually felt relieved when it ended. i had spent my entire life reading it. literally. ever since I could read with enough proficiency to understand and to not need help so since grade 2 or 7 years old. I have been reading it. so I felt ultimate peace when it was over. Im gunna be dreadfully sad though when WOT is over though. just like i was horribly sad when SOT was done. =( |

| no its over. the original series. the rest are a play for more money. hes just milking in the gold. i read the one he did like a year or two ago with their desendents and it really just sucked. i dont want to read the new one that is already out. it sounds wayyy too stupid. im over that series. he shouldve just stopped with it when he finished the last book instead of going on with it. like seriously start a new series man. dont just keep going. thats what fan fics are for. i swear the 2 new books for it are just the authors fan fics. it just doesnt work. i dont like it. too much milking. kinda what movies do you know? they make the really bad sequels to blockbusters because they just want to milk the cash cow. its horrible. i say read the series but after you get to the last book stop there. do not read the modern age one or the newest one. they will suck. | ||

| The Wheel of Time is the best series I've ever read (as well as the longest). Though I am sad to see it end, I am also ready for it to end. I have a feeling A Memory of Light will satisfy all of us, but it will end in a trippy, epic, truly climactic fashion beyond what any of us could conceive at the moment. Robert Jordan was no fool... On another note, the best they could do with The Wheel of Time would be to make it a T.V. series like Game of Thrones, since there's no way you could have only one movie for every book. Insanity! *Red Shields FTW* |

| I've read most of the SOT series so far. I'm now on Chainfire, the first book of what is supposedly the last "trilogy". No one remembers that Khalan existed and Richard spends most of the beginning of the book arguing that she does exist with the other main characters. Richard performs many miraculous deeds without knowing how he does them and everyone pretty much worships the ground he stands on, kissing his behind every chance they get. They spend way too much time going over what happened in the past 8 or 9 books for the plot to really move forward. | ||
